Pennsylvania Cannabis Purchase Limit

Prescribed

Ounces

Answer

A dispensary in Pennsylvania may only sell a patient the amount of cannabis and cannabis product which is prescribed to them by their physician.

Why is it important?

Every state has different cannabis purchase limitations.  Pennsylvania is somewhat unique in that the limit varies for each patient and caregiver. Knowing the purchase limit helps you operate compliantly once licensed for a dispensary and helps with financial planning for your daily dispensary sales. Because PA medical marijuana patients may purchase up to the limit that is prescribed by their physician, forecasting the daily sales of products for your dispensary becomes a more creative task than if the purchase limit per patient was a set amount.
