Dispensary: Community Impact Plan DIY Guide

Purpose

The Dispensary Community Impact Plan outlines steps that your dispensary will take to engage with and benefit the community in which your dispensary is located.

Use Cases

Operators can use this plan to guide the community impact and engagement strategy.

Applicants can use this plan for the section or exhibit of the application that requires a community impact or community engagement plan.

Keywords

Search for each of these terms in the regulations. You're looking for pieces of each regulation that pertain to community integration, impact or benefit.  Refer to the General Sheet Editing DIY Guide for guidance on what to do with these key words.

Replace All

Search for each of the bolded terms in the Employee Community Impact sheet, including the brackets. Do a "replace all" and insert the pertinent information needed to replace the term.  The description underneath each bolded term below tells you what information should replace the bolded term. For instance, you would use the search feature in your document editing software to look for [Company *1] and then using the replace all feature, replace [Company *1] with your company name.

Replace with the name of the company.

[State *1]

Replace with the name of the state where the company is located.

[Regulatory Authority *1]

Replace with the name of the State cannabis regulatory authority (usually a department name or a board name).

[City *1]

Replace with the name of the city in which your dispensary is located.

[Veteran Program *1]

Replace with the name of a local veteran assistance non-profit organization that your company will work with to recruit veteran job applicants.

[Education Program *1]

Replace with the name of a local youth education program or non-profit that the company will work with to support youth education.

[Homelessness Organization *1]

Replace with the name of a local program or non-profit that supports the homeless that the company will work with to support the economic empowerment of homeless individuals.

Suggested Customizations

We suggest that you read through the sheet and make any additional edits or additions that you see fit. Here are some suggestions to get you started. The following can be found in green lettering in the Community Impact Plan sheet.  Search the sheet for the term in bold and make the suggested edits listed below:

[VETERAN PROGRAM INFO]

Describe the veteran program that the company will be working with including how long they have been in operation, what their mission is, what their services are, and how the company will work with them to find veteran job applicants.

[EDUCATION PROGRAM INFO]

Describe the education program or non-profit that the company will be working with including how long they have been in operation, what their mission is, and what their services are.

[HOMELESSNESS PROGRAM INFO]

Describe the homelessness outreach program or non-profit that the company will be working with including how long they have been in operation, what their mission is, and what their services are.

Rename

Remember to rename the plan to match the name that the application uses (ex: the application may require a "Community Engagement" plan, in which case you would change the name of the plan to Community Engagement using whatever document naming convention required by the application).
